The Alion Beach Resort Cyprus

While the island of Cyprus is bathed in warm sun from one coast to the other, the most popular vacation destination is the town of Ayia Napa and the Alion Beach Hotel. Although this property is a bit on the small side, the Alion has all of the creature comforts you would expect from a four star resort. The Alion can also boast an attention to detail that many resorts in the area can’t, thanks to the fact that it only has 100 rooms, as apposed to 300 or more. The Alion also boasts a long stretch of coast line that is perfect for swimming, sunning and relaxing.

The Alion is spread out over four floors and has a total of 100 air conditioned rooms. The décor here is light and airy, as you would expect from a tropical resort like the Alion. All rooms come with televisions with satellite signals, bathrooms with all the amenities you would expect from a hotel this caliber, as well as personal slippers for each person in the room. Every room has a balcony with either an ocean or garden view, and while the ocean views are preferred, the garden views are almost as nice.

The Alion does a good job of keeping up with the Jonses by offering a complimentary breakfast buffet to all of its guests. In addition to the free buffet, the Alion offers their guests a choice of three dining options on hotel property. The first is the Kalimera Restaurant, which offers a casual dining choice that includes light fare and nice dinners. Ask the host for an ocean view for an extra special dining experience. The Symposion Restaurant is a buffet style dinner spot, but it does a very good job of setting a romantic tone thanks to the intimate dining space made especially for couples. Finally, The Pool Restaurant is the best spot for sandwiches and light fare.

The natural beach out in front of the Alion makes for a great swimming and water sports spot and with nearby attractions like golf and scuba diving, you won’t run out of things to do. There are many sports options available to guests, including tennis, racquetball and even water skiing. There is also a steam room, sauna and hair salon for those papering touches you have come to expect from a resort of this caliber.
